Did you know 1 in 7 employees do not feel safe at work? Usually when we hear the words “employee safety”, most people think of physical OSHA hazards. But safety is beyond OSHA and includes the emotional, mental and personal well-being of an employee.  

Without workplace safety, employees cannot be productive and great businesses lose their best talent, ultimately leading to lost revenue.

We know keeping employees safe is a challenge, but we believe that everyone deserves to feel and be safe, especally at Women Owned Businesses.

We've parted with MYCA Learning to offer the Safety First Certification Program. This powerful eLearning program meets all of the CA, NY, IL and other state regulations for compliance.

Our goal is to have as many WBE organizations trained as possible and create a national movement to put safety first.

Personal Story - "Our Story Campaign" Email

Subject: Why I quit my job....

I don’t share this with most because I initially didn’t find any use to…but I realized that sharing my story can actually help others. (Insert your own experience or here’s an example : Back in 2016, I actually quit my job at a Fortune 500 company for no other reason except for its toxic culture (including sexual harassment). In the moment I felt powerless and didn’t think there was anything I could do except walk away and quit. )  

Today I realize the importance of culture fit, so much so that culture alone could be the determining factor between choosing one company over another. I think many people have experiences and stories similar to mine.

"It Won't Happen Here" Email

We all think it'll never happen here....until it does.

Did you know 81% believe that sexual harassment goes on in most workplaces, while 90% believe it is not a problem in their own workplaces….  

Those contradictory numbers are pretty eye-opening and “it won’t happen here” is no longer an accurate statement.

It's too high of a risk to NOT train your employees in what do in these situations:

  • Workplace Sexual Harassment
  • Drug and Alcohol Abuse
  • Workplace Violence and Active Shooter Situation


It’s important to ensure that your entire team – including contractors and suppliers - are aware of how and when to intervene in challenging situations, before they turn into complaints, incidents, costly legal action and even retaliation through violence.

Be proactive by providing all your employees training before it is too late. Not only will you make a positive change that provides the tools and heightened awareness needed, but you will also be complying with the law.
